The Midwest’s biggest comics and pop culture conference, C2E2, is coming up this weekend. This year the event features more than 100 panels and nearly the same number of special guests. C2E2 2017 features photo op and signature hunting galore with stars from The Flash, Stranger Things, Harry Potter, and more. If you’re hoping for sketches from your favorite comic book creators they have those, too. We’ve pulled out some of the highlights from both entertainment and comics.

Greg Rucka
Has worked for both DC and Marvel writing tentpole characters like Batman, Superman, and The Punisher. Recently announced he’s ending his critically acclaimed run on Wonder Woman (with Nicola Scott and Liam Sharpe, the latter will also appear at C2E2). Co-creator of Lazarus and Black Magick.
Jason Latour
Writer and artist. Co-creator of Southern Bastards (with Jason Aaron who will also be appearing at C2E2) and most recently launched the critically-acclaimed Black Cloud (with Ivan Brandon who will also be appearing at C2E2).
Jeff Lemire
Highly decorated comic artist and writer with multiple nominations for Eisners and Harveys. He’s written Marvel characters like Hawkeye, the X-Men, and Moon Knight. However, he’s likely best known for his personal creations like Underwater Welder, Sweet Tooth, Black Hammer, and Descender.
Jen Bartel
A spectacular illustrator is best known for her cover work on Jem and the Holograms and Josie and the Pussycats. She also makes some kick-ass pins.
Jill Thompson
Eisner award-winning writer and artist. Best known for her Scary Godmother series, but has also worked on Wonder Woman, Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman, and Grant Morrison’s The Invisibles.
Matthew Rosenberg
